About nutritional medicine

Nutritional medicine can help

What to expect

Nutritional medicine sees bad diet as one of the major causes of illness.

Today much of the food consumed is deficient in essential nutrients and heavily contaminated with additives and toxins. This disrupts function within the body and so leads to illness. Frequently the individual firstly feels generally run down, with non-specific symptoms, but gradually, as nutrient deficiencies increase, more specific chronic conditions develop.

Nutritional medicine corrects conditions within the body so that the body is able to heal itself. It does this through diet, and often a purpose directed programme of nutritional supplements, with or without additional cleansing procedures.

In wholistic nutritional medicine everyone is seen as unique. No one has the same nutritional requirements even if they have the same named disease condition, and equally no one has the same nutritional requirements throughout their life. Nutritional requirements are based upon family inheritance, age, sex, past diet, medical history and treatments, exposure to environmental pollution, ability to digest and absorb nutrients and emotional factors.

So, everyone needs a unique nutritional programme to optimise their health.
